What is Spy x Family?

Created by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family has been serialized in Shonen Jump+ since March 25, 2019.

It's a unique work of comedy that mixes flavors from the classic spy action genre with everyday family drama by depicting the lives of members of a fake family bonding with each other while also keeping certain secrets hidden.

Spy X Family revolves around the Forger Family: the husband and father Loid Forger, his adopted daughter Anya, and his "wife" Yor. As the story progresses, Yor's brother Yuri Briar appears as well as Anya's classmates Damian Desmond and Becky Blackbell. From there, we have informant Franky Franklin, Eden Academy housemaster Henry Henderson, and so many more!

While the story mainly focuses on the slapstick nature of the Forger family trying to live their new life together while hiding their true identities, the fun doesn't end there. A talented spy who belongs to the West's intelligence agency, WISE. His code name within the organization is "Twilight". After becoming a spy he decided to abandon the person he once was, which included his birth name.

Anya Forger

A young girl born in a laboratory and inadvertently given mind-reading psychic abilities. She encountered Loid when he was looking for a child to adopt at her orphanage. She's chosen and now lives under the assumed identity of the birth child of Loid and his deceased ex-wife.

Yor Forger

Using her former job as a clerk at Berlint City Hall as a cover, Yor honed her skills and became a highly skilled assassin known as "Thorn Princess".
