Fan Art of Shin Ultraman - Truth, Justice, and Beauty Incarnate
What is Shin Ultraman?
Giant unknown creatures known as kaiju have begun appearing in Japan one after another, their presence becoming an everyday occurrence. In response, the government assembles a team of highly skilled specialists to launch a counter-offensive against the kaiju and established the S-Class Species Suppression Protocol, commonly known as the SSSP.
Kimio Tamura is assigned as the team's leader, and Shinji Kaminaga serves as the team's tactical planning officer.
To round out the unit, non-particle physicist Akihisa Taki and general-purpose biologist Yumi Funaberi were selected to join the task force.
Amid the looming threat of Neronga, one of the franchise's most prolific and well-known kaiju, a mysterious silver humanoid giant suddenly appears from outside the Earth's atmosphere. This unnamed giant blasts Neronga to death with lightwave heat rays and then once again disappears into the atmosphere.
In order to deal with this new mysterious giant, a new member, analyst Hiroko Asami, is assigned to the SSSP as Kaminaga's partner.

This tokusatsu-style film was planned, written, and supervised by Hideaki Anno and directed by Shinji Higuchi.
Jointly produced by Tsuburaya Productions, Toho, and Khara, the film is a reimagining of the original Ultraman TV series broadcast in 1966. One of the things that makes this film so special is that it's set in the present day, and as such, it’s not a part of the Ultraman franchise's canon.
Fans were also positively raving about the deep connection between the story and the film's theme song "M87", which was written, composed, and performed by Genji Yonezu.
