Dogs have long since been known for being good companions. Even if we can't converse with words, we feel as if there are moments when we can communicate with them. The longer you own a dog, the less it feels like a pet and more like a part of the family.

Though he’s absolutely enormous, Sadaharu (from Gintama) is looked after and loved by Gin, Shinpachi, and Kagura as though he was just a little puppy.
