Fan Art of the Paldean Elite Four from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Since their release, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have created a buzz worldwide for a number of reasons, one of which being its Elite Four.

Who are the Elite Four?

Just like in all other mainline Pokémon games, the player encounters four of the region's top-class trainers after traversing the area and building their own team of their best and strongest pocket monsters. This serves as the final step before facing the Champion and testing whether or not you have the mettle and strategic mind to put up enough of a fight.

In "Victory Road", one of Scarlet and Violet's three main storylines, players take on Paldea's eight Gym Leaders to become eligible for the "Champion Assessment" and earn the "Champion" rank, achieved by many in the region. It's only after these criteria are fulfilled that the player has the chance to face off against the Elite Four of the Pokémon League.

One of the ways Scarlet and Violet differ from their predecessors, however, is how each member of the Elite Four is encountered at different stages throughout the games and actually interacts with the player. This means you'll have gotten to know some of your toughest opponents long before meeting them in the arena.
