Fan Art of Medalist - Going for Gold

Medalist, a figure skating manga by Tsurumaikada, has been serialized in Monthly Afternoon (Kodansha) since 2020 and continues to captivate fans. Its first TV anime season aired in January 2025, followed by a second season that began broadcasting in January 2026.

The story follows Inori Yuitsuka, a young girl who dreams of winning an Olympic gold medal in figure skating, and Tsukasa Akeuraji, the coach who recognizes her talent. Together, they strive for the highest echelons, where prodigies like Hikaru Kamisaki and her coach Jun Yodaka compete.

In the anime’s second season, the story advances to the Chubu Block Tournament, where skaters compete for a chance to enter the All-Japan Championships. With the overwhelmingly talented Hikaru absent this time, every competitor has a shot at the top. Only five spots are available, turning the competition into an all-out battle.
