What is pixivFANBOX?

pixivFANBOX is a new illustration/communication service brought to you by pixiv.

Creators will open their very own FANBOX and use it to deliver paid contents that are limited to their fans. pixivFANBOX aims to be a valuable source of information about creators' latest creative activity, and articles will include everything from reports to fan-limited releases.

By subscribing to FANBOX, you will have the chance to support your favorite creators and their work, and to establish an intimate connection with them by enjoying their periodic features .

In this article we would like to introduce some FANBOX limited illustrations. You will enjoy the most recent illustrations that creators chose to release exclusively on pixivFANBOX, but you'll also be able to take a look at some of their extremely rare past artworks (such as doujinshi), or at unofficial releases that they drew for fun and according to their own tastes. I can't believe he drew this!! Kina Kazuharu's FANBOX "Kina Kazuharu Fan Club"

Let's take a look at freelancer illustrator Kina Kazuharu's FANBOX, "Kina Kazuharu Fan Club". In his first article, now available for free, he posted illustrations and episodes dating back to his high school days, in an artistic journey that goes all the way to the present.

Through Kina's articles, you can easily trace and see with your own eyes the transition from a total beginner, to an artist that aims to become a pro, to an actual pro. The improvement of the quality of his works is quite noticeable, and so is his approach to drawing and art - a topic that he handles in his features.
This was my first experience appreciating a person's works from a creator's point of view, and gave me the chance to look at the pictures with fresh eyes. I remember thinking, "oh, so this is how a creator perceives his own artworks!"

Fan-limited releases on pixivFANBOX also include his original manga, this too dating back to his high school days, and some rare doujinshi. The changing taste and rising qualities of his girls illustrations is quite clear.

He announced he's ready to post some of his "dark history" in his next features, along with an "observation diary" by no one less than his manager. It looks like we'll soon be able to read some really deep stories!
