Water lilies and lotus flowers are delicately beautiful flowers that bloom on surfaces of stagnant water. To the untrained eye, they may appear to be one and the same, but there are slight differences. The main difference between the two is that water lilies bloom and spend their lives on the water’s surface, while lotus flowers have longer stems that give them a different perspective, so to speak.
