Who is Volo?
Volo is a member of the Gingko Merchant Guild who instantly takes an interest in the protagonist, challenging them to battles and providing them with certain items. He’s a man with a very curious nature, especially when it comes to the legends of the Hisui region.
Toward the end of the main storyline, he leads the recently exiled protagonist to a hidden village and assists them on their survey and exploration quest. He’s a very kind and supportive character…or so he seems.

Later in the game, his true nature is revealed in a shocking twist. His personality is such a departure from how he’s been thus far that it threw many players for a loop.
There’s a good amount of fan art depicting all of the different sides of Volo and the Giratina he uses against the player in their final showdown.
