Coming of Age Day!

Congratulations to all of the new adults! Today is Jan 11th, Coming of Age Day here in Japan. It is a day of celebration to celebrate all of our young... from their hardships into adulthood. There are furisode worn on this day... which are kimono with immensely long sleeves. They are bright and showy--and many adults, especially female, have their photos taken while wearing them. It becomes a very important memory and point of nostalgia when they look back. It's a very important day for anyone becoming an adult today.
