Divas and songstresses usually combine a beautiful singing voice with an outstanding and unique personality, and often steal people's hearts. Even in anime and manga, their presence is overwhelming and they often carry an important role in the story.

The word diva comes from Latin, and means goddess, divine. The expressions angelic voice and divine voice are also often used in reference to divas and songstresses.
