February 14th is Valentine’s Day! In Japan, girls often give the boys they like chocolate (as well as the infamous “giri choko”). Perhaps a little ironic is that in the West, it’s often the other way around… But Japan also has White Day (March 14th), when it’s the men’s turn to give sweet gifts.
