A live-action drama based on the popular pixiv Comic series Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko (English: A World Where Everything Definitely Becomes BL vs. The Man Who Definitely Doesn't Want To Be In A BL) aired on CS TV Asahi Channel 1 on March 27th at 9:00 p.m. (JST).

One day, the protagonist realizes that he lives inside the world of BL manga... and now he's got to fight back against all the typical BL stuff happening around him. What began as a single Twitter post became a manga series, then a drama CD, and a live-action TV drama!

We interviewed the author of the original work, Konkichi, and their managing editor. We asked them a few questions about how this hit work saw the light and rose to fame.

Fan Art from Mo Dao Zu Shi - The Splendid BL Has Made Its Japanese Debut!

The Japanese dub of the anime adaption of the famous Chinese novel, Mo Dao Zu Shi (also known as Madou Soshi in Japan), started airing on January 10th, 2021. The story is based in ancient China, with a fantasy twist, and has wonderfully charming characters. It has an immensely passionate fanbase in Asia.

Wei Wuxian is the protagonist of the series. Through his skill in his spiritual abilities, he earned the title of Yiling Patriarch and he protected people from ghosts, demons, and the like until his death 13 years prior to the start of the series. When he is resurrected, he meets his friend Lan Zhan and they’re reunited. The plot is complicated and emotional, capturing the hearts of many fans.

Artists create dojinshi in spite of their busy schedule. The cover of their dojinshi plays an important role in order to attract as many readers as possible. After all, the cover is the first information that a reader sees. If you are a dojinshi artist, you might be able to gain more readers with an eye-catching cover.

But how should you design the cover of your dojinshi?

We asked Shirakawa who is a representative of En to Kyu, a design company that has worked on One Room Angel, Seifuku Nusumareta, and other works from various genres including shojo and BL, to share useful tips regarding how to design a dojinshi cover.
