One-of-Two Compilations of Works Created by Illustrators Featured in “VISIONS EDGE - Evil and Power” - 21 People Pushing the Boundaries
On September 29th, 2021, the concept artbook VISIONS EDGE ILLUSTRATORS BOOK - Evil and Power hit stores. The VISIONS series is under the general editorship of pixiv. It’s a compilation book series featuring art from popular illustrators and has sold over 30k copies. The related project features fantastic works under the theme “Evil and Power”, commissioned from 21 illustrators.
Of course the color saturation of the printers are top quality, but this book also includes the make-of process from rough draft to coloring as well as valuable knowledge on how these creators envisioned and approached the theme, making this a must-have book for those looking for industry tips and tricks.
To commemorate the release of the artbook, pixivision is featuring some of the works of these illustrators. In this first compilation (of two), the works of 11 creators will be showcased.

- They’re a young illustrator whose avant-garde designs have gained popularity. Their portfolio includes key『LOOPERS』, illustrating for the novel Enmadou Sara no Suiri Kitan (by Kanata Kimoto, published by Kodansha), and character designs for Project:;COLD and Fate/Grand Order.

- An illustrator from Tottori Prefecture. Their works include Soirée nekosuke Sakuhinshu Soware (Soirée ねこ助作品集 ソワレ) published by PIE International, as well as several books published by Rittorsha; Akatonbo (赤とんぼ) by Nankichi Niimi and nekosuke, Sangetsuki (山月記) by Atsushi Nakajima and nekosuke, and Gyofukuki (魚服記) by Osamu Dazai and nekosuke.

- Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, majored in Oil Painting. He has participated in an exhibit by the Kaikai Kiki group spearheaded by Takashi Murakami. He’s experienced with games, light novels, and CD jackets. His appreciation runs from the fine art of the west, to contemporary art, to pop culture. He uses a lot of original techniques that he’s procured through majoring in oil painting.
